Nut Butter - Is it Healthy?

A nut butter recipe is very similar to any other nut butter recipes. The only difference is the process of preparation. An american dream nut butter  is basically a spreadable edible foodstuff made by blending nuts together into a paste. The texture is similar to traditional butter and is otherwise completely unrelated to nut butters.
Nut butter is most commonly used as a topping for cookies, cakes and ice cream. You can also use it to make tortillas, put it on baked potatoes and use it to spread on salads. The fact that it can spread makes it very versatile in recipes and is usually the ingredient that is left out of recipes all together.

There are many varieties of nuts available. The most popular of them include almonds, cashews, peanuts, pistachios, walnuts and others. Cashews are by far the highest in saturated fats. In fact, almost all nuts contain some degree of saturated fat.
An excellent nut to use in cooking and baking is the walnut. Walnuts have a very rich flavor, and can add a lot of flavor to a variety of foods. However, they are a bit tricky to find. If you want a really good taste, use the less expensive almonds instead of the walnuts. Almonds are relatively inexpensive and are easy to find.
But what about peanuts? Although peanuts are not an excellent choice for cooking, they do make wonderful spreads. If you are trying to eat healthy, try ground peanuts instead of roasted. Roasted peanuts are loaded with fat. Ground peanuts are much healthier and taste much like regular peanuts. View here for more info about this nut butter.

There are a lot of different recipes for nut butter that call for different nuts. For instance, you might use almond extract and combine it with vanilla to make a chocolate spread or even add cinnamon to a warm tea spread. There are also peanut butter cookies, which would be a delightful addition to any diet menu. Nuts add texture and variety to any diet, and the right nuts in the right proportion can keep you from ever getting hungry.

Of course, there are also many occasions when nuts just aren't appropriate. One of the worst things you can do when you have a craving is dig in to that fatty, salty cracker or bread. If you are having a craving for something sweet, such as a cookie or cake, it's best to skip that piece of cake altogether. If you're in a pinch for sweets, however, there are still some healthier alternatives to reach for. Whole-wheat crackers and bread are a much better alternative to the traditional snack.

If you have a nut allergy, using nut butter may cause you some problems as well. Many nut-free desserts are not compatible with nut allergies. If you suspect that your dessert is not one of them, check the ingredients list for a list of ingredients that are wheat, rye, or gluten-free. If you can't eat those types of foods, consider a more fruits and vegetables-based recipe instead.
Nut butter is delicious when used sparingly in recipes. Using it more often in savory and comfort foods can help make your transition to healthier eating a little easier. When you can enjoy nut-free desserts without sacrificing your taste buds, the struggle will be all worth it.If you want to know more about this topic, then click here:
